Plain English version. We collect very little, use it only to respond to you, and don't share it with anyone.

Who we are

Soundings is operated by Sam Kammerling, based in Cornwall, UK. We provide workplace culture consultancy, coaching, and learning services.

For data protection purposes, Sam Kammerling is the data controller. You can contact us at sam@thesoundings.co.uk.


What data we collect

We only collect information you give us directly through our contact form:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Your organisation (optional)
  • Your message

We do not use cookies, tracking pixels, or analytics software. We do not collect any data passively from visitors to this website.


How we use it

Solely to respond to your enquiry. We do not add you to any mailing list, pass your details to third parties, or use your data for marketing without your explicit consent.


Where it's stored

Contact form submissions are stored in Google Sheets, via Google Apps Script. Google's servers are located within the EU and UK. You can read Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.

Videos on this site are served by YouTube (Google). YouTube may set cookies if you interact with a video. You can read YouTube's privacy policy at the link above.


How long we keep it

We keep enquiry data for as long as it is relevant to an ongoing or potential business relationship, and delete it when it is no longer needed.


Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Ask us to correct inaccurate data
  • Ask us to delete your data
  • Object to how we use your data

To exercise any of these rights, email sam@thesoundings.co.uk. We will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
